If you are looking something fun to do this Easter weekend, come rain or shine, we have got you covered with the Balloonista’s Guide to Easter;

The All Weather option: BBC Earth Experience:

The perfect option to transport you out of London on a rainy weekend. Immerse yourself in a real life nature documentary narrated by none other than David Attenborough and experience 1,794 days in nature across 41 countries all in around an hour. The BBC Earth Experience is located in Earl’s Court and is easily accessible via London Underground’s District and Piccadilly lines. Advance ticket booking is recommended.

The Outdoors-y option: Kew Gardens:

You won’t find a more perfect place in London for an Easter walk. With a treetop walkway, a rhododendron dell, a rose garden and children’s play area, Easter is the perfect weekend to visit Kew Gardens just in time to see all of the flowers bloom. There has never been a more scenic place to get in your daily steps!

The Traditional Option: Attend a service at one of London’s Churches or Cathedrals:

Whilst it isn’t for everyone, attending a service at one of London’s churches or cathedrals is a great way to honour the religious origins of the Easter weekend whilst also experiencing some of London’s most beautiful architecture. Take a look at Westminster Abbey, Southwark Cathedral, St Paul’s Cathedral and St Martin-in-the-Fields to find a service.

The Active Option: The London Easter 10K:

If you fancy something active but also fun, the London Easter 10k in Regent’s Park is the perfect option for you. Not only is there the 10k race but there is also a 2k fun run and a children’s race. The route will take you all around Regent’s Park, including past London Zoo where you might catch a glimpse of some of the animals. If the endorphins aren’t enough of an incentive to motivate you to take part, at the finishing line you will have an Easter themed medal waiting for you. To take part you will need to register online.

The Family Option: The Lindt Gold Bunny Hunt at Hampton Court Palace:

For the perfect family activity this Easter Weekend, head to the home of Henry the Eighth, Hampton Court Palace. Enjoy the grounds whilst your little one’s hunt down golden bunny statues in order to win a delicious prize. Get lost in the maze and if you fancy getting lost in history, check out the inside of the palace as well.
